Dr. Pierre Giroux
DVM
Dr. Pierre Giroux grew up on a large dairy farm in Northern New Hampshire. His interest in both medicine and animals naturally led him to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. He received a Bachelor’s degree at the University of New Hampshire in 1988 and then attended The Ohio State University receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.
Upon graduation, he began practicing small animal veterinary medicine in the Southern Maine area. Within a short period of time, purchased The Gray New Gloucester Veterinary Clinic, where he was owner and operator for thirteen years.
He then relocated to Saco, the hometown of his wife Cynthia, and established the Saco Veterinary Clinic in 2012, where he continues treating small animals, with a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dermatology. Pierre continues to build his practice into a well-known reputable small business in his community.
He and his wife Cynthia currently reside in Saco with their three children, three dogs, and two cats. He enjoys spending time with his family traveling, skiing, and golfing.
Dr. Margaret Linell
DVM
Dr. Margaret Linell grew up in Atlanta, GA and ended up at the University of Georgia for veterinary school. Her love of our four-legged friends started at the age of three when she realized what they were, and begged her non-cat-lover parents for a cat (and got one after quite a bit of persistence). She has been in practice since 2000. Margaret shares her home with four Bad Boyz (one Maine Coon kitten and three neutered male cats) and two Standard Poodles, who come to work with her and are available to clients for some exuberant loving any time! She loves soft tissue surgery and urgent care practice.
Some outside interests include running (five marathons, multiple half marathons), hiking the Northeast, and cooking.
Fun Fact: Margaret flew for Delta Airlines for 18 years as a flight attendant before attending veterinary school!
